About Physica
A museum built from “what if?”
Physica is a browser-based physics discovery museum for kindergarten through high school. Learners help Pip restore eight subject worlds by predicting, experimenting, gathering evidence, and explaining what they find.
Four pathways, 89 missions
Little Explorers (K–2), Junior Inventors (3–5), Science Investigators (6–8), and Physics Pioneers (9–12) provide different reading and mathematical starting points. Learners can change pathways at any time.
The curriculum supports US NGSS physical-science and engineering-design expectations, selected astronomy expectations, and common high-school physics extensions. The interactive teacher map shows the mission support for every target. A mapping is not certification of an entire performance expectation.
Evidence comes before completion
Each mission includes a lesson, an ungraded prediction, a controlled experiment, a successful model trial, a written explanation, and two understanding checks with feedback. Explanations are saved for learner reflection and teacher review; they are not automatically graded for scientific accuracy.
The free laboratory contains 46 models with stated equations and assumptions. Illustrations are schematic, and numerical measurements provide the precise model results. Real-world extensions ask learners to plan investigations, research claims, or evaluate designs beyond the simulation.
A personal record of discovery
Learner profiles, completed missions, trial tables, explanations, and review schedules are stored in this browser. Export a backup to move them to another device. Completing every mission in a pathway unlocks a downloadable certificate of exploration, not academic accreditation.
Accessible, at your pace
The interface supports keyboard controls, touch-friendly inputs, reduced animation, optional sound, and browser read-aloud where available. Core lessons can be cached for offline learning after an initial online visit. The original nine arcade challenges remain available as a separate activity.
